Hampshire-based unmanned aviation company Flylogix has continued its expansion with another 2 senior hires.

The appointments come after recent investment into the company following the completion of a series of North Sea flights to measure methane levels and the establishment of permanent bases in Shetland and Aberdeen.

The firm’s new Chief Financial Officer, Daniel Ruback, will be responsible for all financial aspects of Flylogix, with a focus on business partnering and problem-solving. His previous experience includes time as CFO and board member of AIM-listed Gama Aviation PLC, five years as financial director at Signature Aviation PLC, and eight years with the FTSE100 engineering business Smiths Group PLC.

He commented: “This is an exciting time to be joining Flylogix. The sheer potential of unmanned aviation in emissions measurement, environmental monitoring, logistics, and search and rescue, is really coming into focus now, and I’m hugely impressed with the quality of operations, engineering and ambition that the business has.”

Meanwhile, former Air Partner COO and Chief Executive Mark Briffa is joining the Flylogix board. He will be charged with scrutinising and optimising performance improvement and growth, clarity of objectives, customer service and business development.

He said: “There is such a positive atmosphere at Flylogix right now, and the business is attracting high-quality, like-minded people in a range of disciplines. And so we’re making sure that the structures, culture and systems are sufficiently robust to underpin the rapid growth that we anticipate.”

Mark will work with recently appointed Chair of the Board Colette Cohen OBE, who joined the firm at the beginning of June.

Chief Executive Officer Charles Tavner said: “We’re delighted to welcome two such experienced aviation operators as Daniel and Mark, as we embark on our next phase of expansion.”
