Reading's RSSL adds capacity with opening of new facility at university
Contract research organisation RSSL has added another 26,000 sq ft of working lab space with the opening of its new state-of-the-art analytical testing facility at Reading university under an ambitious expansion plan.
The new centre at the Whiteknights campus, which complements its existing facilities, will help the company meet the growing demand from its global client base across the life science, healthcare, food, and consumer goods sectors.

The group has more than 3,000 clients in 60 countries and has doubled revenue since 2016. It says the new facility will accelerate turnaround times and deliver efficiencies.
RSSL is also expanding its workforce from 350 to over 500 in the next three years, by doubling the number of scientists in its team.
"Our clients are at the forefront of innovation within their industries, working on projects ranging from sustainable food solutions to next-generation therapeutics," said Jacinta George, the managing director of RSSL.
"With this exciting new expansion, we will be able to continue supporting them to develop high-quality, safe products that meet complex regulatory requirements and consumer needs.
"By expanding RSSL’s capacity and capabilities, the addition of this new facility reinforces our commitment to science, innovation and collaboration and will enable us to meet evolving industry needs and drive vital progress across a diverse range of sectors," she added.
Professor Parveen Yaqoob OBE, the deputy vice-chancellor at the university and pro-vice-chancellor for research and innovation, added: "For science to thrive, we need skilled people, world-class facilities, and a spirit of collaboration and discovery.
"These shared values are helping both the University of Reading and RSSL to grow from our shared Whiteknights campus, and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership into the future."
