Reading to grow the next generation of cybersecurity talent
A Reading bootcamp is launching which will focus on creating new opportunities for those wanting to work in the cybersecurity industry.
The course is based at The Curious Lounge, starting on September 5, and will combine weekly group training seminars with self-directed learning.
At the end of the course the participants will have the opportunity to apply for an open position in a global cybersecurity team as well as presenting their project work to established Cybersecurity businesses in the Thames Valley.
Participants who complete the training material will also receive credit for a Microsoft Certification in Data Analytics with Power BI.
A release from The Curious Lounge said: "Do you enjoy finding innovative solutions to existing problems? Can you learn new skills and use them to approach existing challenges from new directions? Want a job that challenges and stimulates you? Are you looking for your first job or maybe looking to move into cybersecurity from a different industry? Have you considered reskilling in data analysis for cybersecurity?"
Applications are currently open to secure a fully sponsored place which offers the opportunity to learn new skills and meet employers offering entry level cybersecurity roles.
