Brexit will have far reaching implications for the tech sector. With just one year to go until the end of the Article 50 negotiations, there is naturally increasing discussion on 'readiness' for new trading arrangements beyond Brexit between the UK and the EU both in government and business.

PwC is staging a special seminar - Brexit: implications for technology companies - on Tuesday March 27 from 4.30pm at its Reading office at Forbury Place.

PwC said: "Many of us are considering how this is likely to impact us and our businesses. Please join us to discuss what plans you should be putting in place now to protect your existing interests and capitalise on new opportunities."

Former cabinet minister Michael Moore, who advises PwC clients on the business impact of political change, will chair the latest Tech Hub event with a specialist panel of experts including Phil Brown, PwC's senior trade advisor, Graham Wyllie, the firm's tech mobility leader, Gavin Orpwood, the tech indirect tax leader and Katrina Cooper, global immigration expert.

The seminar will cover:

  • The outcome of the EU Leaders summit in Brussels on March 23 where a transition deal is expected to be agreed
  • The economic impact for the UK as a whole
  • Brexit strategies tech companies are adopting
  • Trade and customs implications for tech exporters
  • People and immigration issues and the impact on access to 'tech talent'

Who should attend?
The event is aimed at CEOs and senior finance and strategy directors at tech companies as well as Brexit leads.
