Reading: Gavin Davis to head up MHA MacIntyre Hudson tech practice
Top 20 accountancy firm MHA MacIntyre Hudson has appointed Gavin Davis as a partner to lead its newly created technology advisory services practice.
With more than 35 years’ experience, both as a consultant and business owner, Davis will be advising clients across the country on how to manage their business IT systems and services. The technology advisory practice will provide services including IT reviews, strategic IT advice, application procurement support (specification and selection) and outsourced IT director services. These services will be particularly valuable to “The Quasi IT Director”®, for example the finance director of a mid-market company who finds themselves responsible for the IT systems.
Davis joins from BDO where he led the technology consultancy team and he has also worked for Fujitsu Services, Dell, Ricoh and Atos.
As part of his new role he will support the MHA MacIntyre Hudson corporate finance teams by providing IT due diligence on both the buy and sell side. He will be based mainly in the firm’s Reading and London offices.
Rakesh Shaunak, managing partner and group chairman of MHA MacIntyre Hudson, said: “We’re very pleased to have Gavin join us and to launch our technology advisory services specialism. This is an opportunity for us to bring together our technology expertise to advise clients on all aspects of technology, systems and application packages so that they can maximise the benefits for their business.”
Jason Mitchell, partner at MHA MacIntyre Hudson’s Reading office, added: “We’re finding more and more clients require support for their technology needs at a strategic level in addition to more routine guidance over their systems and processes. Gavin is a great addition to the firm to service this need.”
