American IT service provider Ensono has acquired Reading-based specialist cloud service provider Inframon, with legal advice being provided by law firm Moore Blatch. Led by corporate partner Peter Jeffery, Moore Blatch provided legal support to sellers of Inframon.

Ensono’s acquisition of Inframon will enable the company to extend beyond its existing hybrid IT services. The acquisition will further strengthen Ensono’s AWS and Azure prowess.

Inframon, recipient of the Microsoft 2017 World Wide Productivity Partner of the Year award, specialises in moving large Microsoft-centric organisations to the cloud.

During the transaction Jeffery was supported by Thomas Clark (associate solicitor, corporate), Polly Cross (chartered legal executive, corporate), Milly Bygrave (trainee solicitor, corporate), Cherie Lawson (paralegal, corporate), John Warchus (partner, commercial), Naomi Greenwood (partner, employment), Stephanie Bowen (solicitor, employment), and Luc Algar (partner, property).

Sean Roberts, from Inframon, said: “Our thanks to Peter Jeffery and the team at Moore Blatch in enabling this complex and important transaction to go through. This deal came at the perfect time in the life of Inframon, and will enable our business to grow and maximise the use of the intellectual property we have developed thus far. Partnering with Ensono enables us both to provide a better experience for our customers.”

The sale follows ten other major deals in the IT sector completed by Peter Jeffery and his team in the past 18 months.
