Austin Fraser, the Reading-based technical recruitment consultancy, is to strengthen its European presence by expanding into the Berlin market. It has had a successful office in Munich since 2012. The Berlin office will be led by Jacob McCulloch, director of Austin Fraser Germany. The firm has seen significant market growth in Germany, with revenue tripling in the past 12 months compared to the previous year. Clients include leading tech brands in the area, from start-ups through to major blue-chip companies. Life sciences, infrastructure and IT development in both contract and permanent placements will continue to be the team’s focus.

McCulloch commented: “As one of the top tech cities in the world, Berlin is a rapidly growing market. Austin Fraser has come a long way since its German office was opened just over three years ago, growing from a team of two to a truly national player.”

The firm will also be expanding in the US.  A new Dallas hub will next year follow the 2015 opening of its Austin team.

Pete Hart, CEO, commented: “We get under the skin of new geographies by investing in the local market, from the grassroots up, bringing in the best people on the ground, while also enabling our UK teams to make a real difference and fulfil professional ambitions.”
