Voip Unlimited connected the world's media at the launch of Sahara Force India Formula One team’s 2017 car. The official supplier, headquartered in Dorset, was commissioned to provide superfast internet connectivity to enable global publicity of the VJM10 car.
The launch took place at Silverstone, where owner of the F1 team Dr Vijay Mallya, and drivers Sergio Pérez and Esteban Ocon took to the stage to unveil the new car. Finishing the 2016 championship in fourth position, Sahara F1 commissioned Voip Unlimited to enable global press to spread the news as far and wide as possible from the launch event, with IPv6 enabled superfast connectivity. Voip Unlimited also provided the networks between the F1 Team’s Silverstone HQ and multiple locations.
Kate Smithson, senior partner manager of Sahara Formula 1, said: “Voip Unlimited are a trusted supplier for Sahara Force India Formula One Team. They are an extension of our fast-paced team and have once again proved their weight in gold through flawless delivery of vital internet connectivity on one of our most important days of the year.”
Mark Pillow, MD of Poole-based Voip Unlimited, said: “We pride ourselves on our relationship with Formula 1. We enjoy delivering quality connectivity in a multitude of ways as it means we really do become part of the team. What a great team, what a great car, what a great launch.”
