Sam brings more than 20 years of experience in the tech industry, including roles as both COO and CFO.

Sam said: “I’ve been a huge admirer of the fantastic and valuable work Clearwater Dynamics does for many years.

“With the shipping industry and their maritime insurers facing a multifaceted and dynamic landscape influenced by changeable market conditions, regulatory challenges, environmental shifts and geopolitical tensions, it represents an incredible moment to be joining the company.

“I’m excited to dive deeper into the fast-evolving Maritime industry with a company that specialises in IOT connectivity, vessel tracking and risk mitigation solutions.”

Headquartered in Dorset, Clearwater also runs regional offices in Nigeria and Malaysia.

It counts governments, insurance companies, shipping operators and stakeholders, oil and gas operators, and vessel chartering departments among its clients.

CEO William Unwin added: “We’re thrilled to welcome Sam into the Clearwater Dynamics team.

“He’s going to be a valued colleague thanks to the experience he brings to the team and fresh approach to achieving scale and growth which aligns perfectly with our company’s vision.

“As an industry-leading organisation that’s owned and operated by maritime experts in the security, programming and technology fields, Sam will be a key part of the business delivering intelligence driven technology solutions to our diverse range of clients around the globe.”
