OxTech Fest is a new two-day virtual festival celebrating the tech industry, creating connections amongst tech innovators and helping companies foster diversity and gender balance in the industry. Now just a couple of weeks away, OxTech Fest has a diverse variety of panels and speakers for people at all levels of tech.

An event like this wouldn’t be possible without the support of our wonderful sponsors, partners and media supporters. Creating a brand new event in an online format is a challenge but with the support of our OxTech community, we are sure it will be a success.

The Headline Sponsor of OxTech Fest 2021 is the Institute for Ethical AI - they help organisations develop ethical and trustworthy intelligent software solutions for their business challenges. Head of Innovation Arijit Mitra will be moderating the Driving Digital Twins panel and Selin Nugent, Assistant Director of Social Science Research, will be interviewing Maria Axente from PwC about the importance of thinking ethically about building a business.

Other sponsors are Perspectum and Nominet.

CEO of Perspectum Rajarshi Banerjee will be part of a Q&A on Routes into a Tech Career and Perspectum have sponsored the Tech for Impact Award, which will celebrate impactful innovation within the tech industry in the UK. Nominations are open until August 31st and you can nominate a tech business you admire (or your own tech business) here.

Nominet will be moderating the Tech for Good in Oxfordshire Showcase, giving a platform to three businesses that are already making an incredible impact within the Oxford area. They, alongside the Institute for Ethical AI and Perspectum, will have a networking booth over the two days - where anyone has the chance to speak to real industry professionals on a personal basis.

Other Exhibiting businesses include AND Digital, Aspire Oxford and Oxford Brookes Racing. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a network in the tech community if you’re at the beginning of your career or further develop it and collaborate with new businesses if you’re already an established professional.

OxTech Fest is a huge collaboration between not only sponsors and partners but speakers, businesses and attendees. We can’t wait to share this event on September 7th and 8th 2021.

Without the support of professionals and businesses within the tech industry, we wouldn’t be able to provide the insights to the innovation and developments in such a quickly advancing industry.
