Gigaclear has been ranked number 23 in The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100, as a new entrant for 2018. This positions Oxfordshire-based Gigaclear as one of the fastest growing tech organisations in the UK, and firmly establishes its position as a key player in the technology industry.
Gigaclear is the leading full-fibre broadband provider to rural locations. Its state-of-the-art full fibre network currently covers over 65,000 homes and businesses in 22 counties across Southern England. The company is in a phase of substantial growth, with plans to connect over 300,000 properties within the next three years through a combination of both government-subsidised Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) rural broadband programme funds, as well as its own commercial investment.
Mike Surrey, CEO, Gigaclear commented: “We are thrilled to not only be included, but also to feature so high up on the league table of Britain’s fastest growing tech firms. Acknowledgement like this is testament to the work we’re doing on a daily basis to end digital exclusion in rural locations. We truly believe that every rural property in the UK should be able to enjoy a full fibre connection and our aim is to continue to strive towards ensuring this becomes a reality.”
This is the next in a series of accolades for Gigaclear this year, with the company recently winning Best Rural Broadband Provider for the second consecutive year at the Internet Service Providers’ Association Awards.
