Newbury: Roc is fastest-growing UK IT services provider
The latest Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 League compiled by Fast Track, which is the UK’s leading league table of growing technology companies, places Newbury-based Roc Technologies in the top position for fastest growth.
In compiling the table, Fast Track uses the London Stock Exchange’s techMARK definition of a technology company as one “that shows a commitment to innovation, research and product development, and operates in sectors including software, Internet, telecoms and biotech”.
In addition, companies have to be registered in the UK, be independent, unquoted and ultimate holding companies. They are ranked according to the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in sales over three years, based on their latest available figures.
Roc’s strong performance of 221.18% secured its position as the UK’s fastest-growing IT service provider, and made it the second-fastest-growing tech firm overall. It was one of only five companies in the league table to exceed 200% CAGR, one of five companies in the top 10 to make a profit and one of seven IT service providers in the table.
Matt Franklin, Roc director, commented: “Our growth to date has been purely organic which is a testament to the dedication, hard work and commitment of my colleagues.”
Mike Hockey, another Roc director, added: “Our continued growth is a fantastic endorsement of the value we deliver to our customers. We’ve worked hard to develop our unique approach to transformation which is clearly resonating in the marketplace.”
