Charge point operator EZ-Charge has promoted Peter Shadbolt to operations director as part of its large-scale growth plans.

Peter, who was previously chief technology officer, will oversee the Bicester company’s strategic development and operations across product development, customer service, user experience and network rollout.

He’ll still be responsible for his current technical duties in his new role.

Peter’s promotion follows the appointments of Helen Masters as head of sales and partnerships and Rob Perry as sales manager.

The company also has a series of commercial developments planned across this year.

Peter said: “This is an exciting time at EZ-Charge, we have an incredible product and an excellent foundation for growth.

“We’re developing a first-class leadership team to enable us to scale and I’m proud to be part of it.

“We have a clear strategy on how we can help the UK achieve a strong and reliable charging network to ensure a smooth continued transition to electric and I look forward to helping to deliver it with the team.

“Our goal is simple – to continue to disrupt the market by making EV charging easy by providing accessible, simple to use and reliable charging points.”

Peter has worked in the EV charging industry for more than four years and joined EZ-Charge almost three years ago.

Phil Shadbolt, founder and CEO of EZ-Charge, added: “Congratulations to Peter on his well-deserved promotion.

“Peter has been an integral part of our growth to date and his new role provides us with the required senior structure to help take us forward.”

EZ-Charge is the business behind Park & Charge Oxfordshire, one of the UK’s largest regional public charging networks with 250 chargers across 20 sites.

It supports both the public and private sectors in the transition to electrification.
