Midland Telecom acquired by Sussex’s Focus Group

West Sussex workplace solutions firm Focus Group has acquired Midland Telecom in Birmingham.
The deal follows a recent investment from Hg, through which Focus Group became a unicorn – a private company valued at more than USD$1 billion.
Launched in 1987, Midland Telecom delivers cloud-based products from the likes of Microsoft, Mitel, 3CX and BT.
Focus Group says the acquisition ‘brings product alignment while also presenting an opportunity to diversify, grow and tap into new markets’ – as well as expanding its regional presence in the Midlands.
Ralph Gilbert, co-founder and director at Focus Group, said: “As a rapidly expanding tech business, it’s fundamental that we keep people at the heart of all we do, with an unwavering focus on building solid relationships with our customers.
“The team at Midland Telecom share this commitment and they have a natural passion for finding the perfect solutions for each customer.
“So our new partnership ticks all the boxes – people, presence and portfolio. Welcome to the team Midland!”
Leon Fletcher, director at Midland Telecom, added: “Every one of us at Midland Telecom is excited to be playing our part in advancing the success of Focus Group across the Midlands and beyond.
“Joining forces with Focus Group presents an incredible opportunity for growth and innovation.
“Our shared values and complementary product portfolios position us perfectly for success as we work together to deliver exceptional service and support to our valued customers.”
