Harwell-based Celestia UK has announced the appointment of a new CEO to manage its ambitious growth plans. Dr Mehul 'Micky' Mehta will be building its capability and reputation as a premier innovation house in the fields of antenna, RF and signal processing technologies.
Before joining Celestia UK, Mehta was co-founder and VP modem design at Blu Wireless Technology. He brings a wealth of technical and commercial knowledge having worked in the wireless communications industry for over 25 years.
Taking the helm at Celestia UK comes at a pivotal moment for the company, part of the pan-European Celestia Technologies Group, as Mehta explained: "I am focused on generating value in the company through innovation and a can-do attitude. We are already developing genuinely disruptive solutions for the ‘difficult’ problems in radio communications. Celestia UK is a young start-up, one that is growing rapidly into an exciting workplace and I intend to foster that growth and value proposition over the coming years. We are building a dynamic and versatile team at Celestia UK, one that has demonstrable theoretical and practical knowledge across a range of different technical domains.”
José Alonso, chairman of the Celestia Technologies Group, said: "Micky brings a vast amount of technical and commercial expertise to the role. Having previously been co-founder of start-ups and with a strong track record in US and UK wireless companies, he brings a unique combination of skills, experience and strengths to the business. It is this, together with other senior technical and commercial experts on our team that makes Celestia UK a force in the UK high-tech radio communications industry."
As part of the business' growth, Celestia UK is currently looking for like-minded talented engineers to join the company, working across a range of different disciplines. Details of the opportunities available are on the company's new website at https://www.celestia-uk.com/
