BPE has kicked off the new year by adding to its growing team of process engineering experts. The firm, which is headquartered in Colden Common near Winchester, has appointed Howard Richmond as a process consultant.
Richmond is a chartered chemical engineer with more than 20 years’ experience in process engineering and development. He has extensive knowledge in technology selection, implementation and commissioning of process systems. Among the organisations he has worked for previously are Albright & Wilson, Rhodia, Dow Corning and Tata Steel.

Mike Brown, managing director of BPE, said: “We’re delighted to have Howard on board and he joins at a particularly exciting time. 2017 is set to be a year of growth for BPE, as our new office in the North West expands and we embark on several major projects in the pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing sectors. Howard’s appointment means our clients have yet more expertise and experience to call on during this busy year.”

BPE has been helping manufacturers make their processes safer and more efficient since 1997. It offers a full range of process engineering design services, including process modelling, process safety, project management and process development/scale-up support.

BPE specialises in chemical and biochemical engineering design and, in addition to its Hampshire HQ, has a North West office at Daresbury Innovation Centre in Cheshire.
