Hampshire-based TMC Pharma Services hires new CCO amidst wave of appointments

Hampshire-based drug development organisation TMC Pharma continues its international expansion with a series of new appointments.

Stewart Sharpe joins TMC as Chief Commercial Officer. He is experienced in leading pharma organisations, building teams, and launching pharma brands worldwide having previously been VP Global Commercial Lead at Syneos Health.

Alongside Stewart, Rondeep Bhui has been appointed as head of strategic planning, joining from Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica GmbH where he was head of global pharmacovigilance. Ronnie has considerable experience in human and veterinary medicines developing strategic transformation solutions in the areas of pharmacovigilance, regulatory and clinical research.

Investment Director at private equity firm LDC Stefan Gunn said: “The global pharmaceutical market continues to evolve and flourish, which means there’s considerable demand for highly-qualified people who have the right combination of industry experience and commercial insight that can help businesses to achieve their objectives. With this latest series of senior appointments, TMC has secured a number of big-hitters from the industry and their combined experience will bring additional expertise to support TMC’s global customer base as the company continues its growth journey.”

TMC has also welcomed Dr Victoria Datsenko as vice president of clinical services, together with Dr Marcelo Vaz as head of medical services.  Bringing more than 20 years’ development experience within global clinical research, Victoria’s expertise covers all clinical trial phases across a broad range of therapies, with particular strength in oncology, cell and gene therapy. Marcelo previously led the respiratory group at the Biotech unit at ICON plc, where he developed clinical research expertise across a range of respiratory diseases, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and lung cancer.
