Fareham: Corporate technology honour for Taylor Made

A campaign to make high-end data storage technology used by large multinational companies available to smaller firms has seen Fareham’s Taylor Made Computer Solutions given an industry honour.

Taylor Made was ranked among some of the UK’s biggest technology names in winning an Outstanding Achievement award from data storage giant NetApp.

The award recognises Taylor Made’s pioneering approach, which saw the firm invest in £1 million worth of data storage equipment, traditionally exclusively available to large corporations, and offer it to Hampshire businesses at an affordable rate.

It comes hard on the heels of a UK top-seven ranking for Taylor Made by industry bible MSP mentor, which also placed the company as 10th in the whole of Europe for managed services, the business of outsourcing IT services.

Taylor Made managing director Nigel Taylor said: “This award is particularly sweet because the other winners are national UK organisations that are far bigger than we are. We were pleased to be nominated, but really had no expectation that we might win, so this is a genuine surprise.

“We are proud of the capabilities we are able to offer companies down here and of what it enables their businesses to achieve in turn.”
