Deputy mayor of Bracknell Andy Blatchford led proceedings at the ceremonial opening of Telogis’ new expanded office in Bracknell, on July 1. He was joined by over 80 of Telogis’ customers, partners, staff and other guests for the official opening with a tape-cutting and champagne reception.

Welcome speeches were made by Newth Morris, president of Telogis Route & Telogis Navigation, and Sergio Barata, general manager Telogis EMEA.

Morris gave a brief presentation about the origins of Telogis in California in the early 2000s, and the exciting times as they built the business and gained market share, which very much mirror the current climate for Telogis in the UK.

Barata commented: “We have been in Bracknell now for five years and the area has been very good to us.  Telogis is now poised to start the next phase of our dynamic expansion in the UK, Europe and Middle East. With this latest expansion we now have attained the critical mass required to more aggressively extend our reach into several new market segments and geographic locations.”

Telogis provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS)-based platform for companies that require dynamic routing, real-time work order management, commercial navigation, telematics and mobile integration services for their workforces in the field.

In 2013 Telogis received $93 million in institutional capital secured by its US-headquartered parent. Previously the company was privately financed by its founders, management and other individuals. The funding round was led by Silicon Valley-based firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, the preeminent name in US technology investing. The new investment represents the company’s first outside raise of institutional capital.

In 2011 Telogis became the exclusive technology provider for Ford Motor Company, powering its factory-installed Ford Crew Chief telematics solution for Ford commercial vehicles.

In partnership with Ford Motor Company and its launch of the all-new 2015 Ford Transit line of vans – the company’s largest, most significant commercial vehicle launch in its history – Telogis is currently showcasing the Ford Crew Chief powered by Telogis' factory-fit telematics solution in each of Ford’s national, 19-city 'Truth About Transit' tour stops in the US.

Telogis also partnered with Volvo Trucks and Hino Trucks to co-develop new telematics and navigation services for Volvo customers.
