Google Cloud Services provider Ancoris and customer Rentokil Initial have announced that the team collected two winner and two high commendation awards at the national UK IT Industry Awards 2019 ceremony at Battersea Evolution in London.

Organised by the British Computer Society and Computing Magazine, the UK IT Industry Awards is the largest technology awards of its kind in the UK. The awards celebrate the contribution of individuals, projects, organisations and technologies that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of IT in the past 12 months.

Bracknell-based Ancoris was awarded Services Company of the Year and Specialist Vendor of the Year for its project with Rentokil Initial’s digital transformation team, based in Camberley. The judges recognised the digital transformation project as a leading example of close collaboration between supplier and customer to create an innovative solution that delivers significant business value.

Ancoris worked with Rentokil to migrate 14,000 colleagues, who previously used paper based data capture and PDA based mobile devices, to Android based apps connected in real-time to cloud hosted corporate data, that can be securely accessed via web-services and APIs.

"Winning at Computing’s UK IT Industry Awards is a fantastic achievement and highlights the exciting work that we are doing as a Google Cloud Premier Partner for our clients,'' said David McLeman, CEO at Ancoris. "The way both Ancoris and Rentokil approached the project with a collaborative partnership was key to its success. We immediately saw the business potential of using the cloud to deliver game-changing digital transformation in Rentokil's core operations."
