NewVoiceMedia, a leading global provider of cloud technology, has been selected as one of the UK’s top 50 growth-stage technology companies to join Tech City’s ‘Future Fifty Class of 2016’.

The Government-backed programme celebrates the digital businesses in the UK with the highest potential for rapid global expansion and provides access to expertise within government and the private sector. Since the scheme was founded in 2013 to accelerate the success of the UK’s high-growth tech businesses, the Future Fifty companies combined have raised a total of £791 million and operate in 170 countries worldwide.

Gerard Grech, CEO of Tech City UK, said: “Britain’s digital industry continues to defy expectation. From Fintech to online shopping, cyber security to gaming, the Future Fifty companies reflect the diversity of our fastest growing sector. In a rich and varied marketplace, these entrepreneurs are united by global ambition and enormous potential. The digital businesses joining the Future Fifty programme are a window into the future of the digital economy.”

Eileen Burbidge, chair, Tech City UK, added: “The UK is developing a global reputation for world-class digital innovation in sectors such as Fintech and E-commerce. In turn, this is attracting increasing investment activity, talent and expertise into the country.”

NewVoiceMedia, based in Basingstoke, grew its international new business by 528% in FY'2015 and is outpacing the rapidly expanding cloud customer contact market fivefold. The company, which now serves customers spanning 128 countries, including MobileIron, TNT, RAC, Canadian Cancer Society, Quintessentially and Wowcher, is revolutionising the way businesses connect with their customers, enabling them to deliver a personalised and unique customer service experience and drive a more effective sales and marketing team.
