Accounting firm ThinCats has appointed Steven Munt as director of business development- he will work with both the London and South East teams.

Prior to this he has held positions at Lloyds, Barclays, RBS, and Credit Suisse. His last stint was for five years as Senior Director of Shawbrook Bank.

Steven has over a decade's experience in investment and corporate banking. He specialises in asset-based and cash-flow lending.

Steven commented: “Anyone active in London’s lower-mid market deal making space knows about ThinCats’ rapid growth over recent years.

“I’m excited to be joining the team as [the company] continues to expand and I look forward to helping deliver more funding in support of the region’s ambitious entrepreneurs.”

Before joining ThinCats Steven was already well known in the London and South East business finance community. He will report to Dave Sherrington, the Regional Head of Sales at ThinCat.

Dave said: “I’m delighted to have Steven on board. We delivered record amounts of funding during the first half of 2023 and have ambitious plans to fund many more mid-sized SMEs in the future.

“Steven’s expertise and wealth of lending experience will be a huge asset to both [our] team and the businesses that we support.”
