Enterprise M3, the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) for the wider M3 corridor, has appointed Chris Quintana and Sarah Carter to its expanding team. Quintana has been appointed as enterprise and innovation project manager and Carter has been appointed as skills and employability project manager.

Quintana is an experienced management consultant with a Henley Business School MBA. He has experience developing strategies for international expansion as well as strategies that help SMEs expand their operations in local markets. He is also a qualified project manager and has delivered multi-million pound projects in the NHS and private sector.

He has previously held roles at Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, CJQ and Tandberg Television. Within Enterprise M3, he will be responsible for project management leads in both innovation and enterprise, and rural sectors.

Carter has significant experience in the skills/training agenda, notably around apprenticeships, European-funded projects, employability and partnerships. She has previously worked for Guildford College Group, where she was responsible for the business development team’s strategic planning and key commercial activities. At Enterprise M3, she will be focusing on the delivery of Enterprise M3’s skills projects amounting to £10.4 million in 2015/16 and on developing and driving forward Enterprise M3’s skills strategy.

This year, Enterprise M3 secured £118m from the Government’s Local Growth Fund for the delivery of ambitious projects covering infrastructure, skills and enterprise and innovation. This includes £35m confirmed for 2015/16 that will support economic growth within the M3 corridor and see investment in key infrastructure projects across Surrey and Hampshire, capitalising on the skills and innovation in the Sci:Tech corridor.

This investment for 2015/16 will bring forward substantial additional investment from local partners, including the private sector. Combined, this will create a total new investment package of nearly £440m for the Enterprise M3 area. By 2021, this deal is expected to create up to 8,000 jobs and unlock the development of up to 7,000 new homes.
