Sun Mark managing director Dr Rami Ranger MBE, FRSA was awarded “Director of the Year 2012 - Large Company” for London and the South East by the prestigious Institute of Directors (IOD) at a prestigious awards dinner at the Landmark Hotel in London.
Sun Mark has also won the most coveted British business award from Her Majesty the Queen, The Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade, for an unprecedented four consecutive years, making British business history.
Sun Mark exports FMCG products to 110 countries with staggering results and sustains thousands of British jobs with its export activities. The company’s sales continue to grow despite the global downturn.
After receiving the award, Ranger thanked the judges, his wife and his staff. He also paid tribute to the British sense of tolerance and fair play and that as a result an "ordinary immigrant" like him could achieve such high accolades.
The dinner was attended by over 300 fellow directors and the award was presented by IoD regional director Rodger Broad.
