Solent Partners’ Skills Bootcamp set to future proof workplaces
Solent Partners has set up 'a series of Solent Skills Bootcamps' to give employers and the self-employed the opportunity to retrain, upskill, and fill vacancies.
Industry expert training providers who will be delivering the Skills Bootcamps are listed as follows: Digital Marketing - YTKO; Maritime Transport and Logistics - South Hampshire College Group; Care Services - South Hampshire College Group and Isle of Wight College ; Business Skills for Creatives - University of Portsmouth; Green Skills - Yuzu; Catering and Hospitality - Whitehead Ross.
Ian Ross, CEO of Whitehead-Ross Education, said: “We are delighted to be working with Solent Partners to support local jobseekers to access local opportunities in hospitality supervision and leadership roles, whilst supporting the skills and recruitment needs of local employers.
''Over the next six months, we will be supporting 40 jobseekers from across the Solent.”

The bootcamps were launched through £1.2 million of funding provided by the Department for Education.
Solent Partners Chair Rachael Randall said: “We are delighted to launch the exciting Skills Bootcamp programme for the benefit of the region. This is a fantastic opportunity which will enable the Solent workforce to flourish, and ultimately support our economic growth.
