Bargate Homes has appointed Andy Kirkpatrick to its board adding further experience to its respected team.

Kirkpatrick, who joins the Fair Oak-based business from Barratt Homes, has been appointed construction director and brings with him a wealth of experience in housebuilding across the region.

He joins Bargate at a key time for the business following a £25 million investment from Prowting Investments plc to enable its strategic expansion.

Bargate MD Angus Cook said: “We are committed to making significant investment into our business and strengthening our already highly respected team. Andy’s appointment is very much part of that strategy.

“His proven track record, expertise and enthusiasm are all natural fits with us at Bargate and we are delighted that he’s agreed to be part of our team taking us into the next phase of our development.”

As well as Barratt Homes, Kirkpatrick’s 30-year career has seen him work through the ranks including becoming the industry’s first customer care manager with names such as Laing Homes, Alfred McAlpine, Gleeson Homes and Charles Church Persimmon.

He said: “Bargate has one of the most dynamic teams and approaches to housebuilding in the UK and to be part of that is extremely exciting.

“I am passionate about housebuilding and Bargate do things so differently. They never just build high density developments wherever and whenever a piece of land becomes available; each site is treated in a bespoke way with incredible attention to detail on the finished product.”
