Leading corporate and private client law firm Manches LLP is further expanding its Oxford office this month with the arrival of two qualified lawyers.
Kathy Hills joins the firm’s corporate team in Oxford as an associate and tax specialist with five years of post-qualification experience.
Hills is an expert in UK and international tax and advises commercial clients on corporate tax, VAT, pensions, employment and SDLT property tax, as well as tax relief schemes and entrepreneur tax. She joins from Blake Lapthorn in Oxford and is well versed in all areas of business tax advice, including employee and director share-option schemes and complex cross-border international tax.
Also joining the firm this month is one-year qualified lawyer Caroline Shephard, who joins the property team, also from Blake Lapthorn in Oxford.
Shephard joins as an associate and will be based at the Oxford office, working alongside experienced residential property lawyers Nick Owens and Amanda Lloyd, both of whom have extensive experience of working for clients in London and the UK.
Managing partner of Manches Thames Valley Richard Smith commented: “It’s great to have recruited new people for the second time in just a few months. Kathy and Caroline join our growing Thames Valley practice, building on the previous recruitment of partner Simon Knott from Shoosmiths (real estate), senior associate Duncan Bain from Morgan Cole (employment and immigration) and senior associate Claire Clarke from Stevens & Bolton (family & matrimonial) who all joined in May.”
