Oxford Bus Group welcomes new Finance Director

Oxford Bus Group has appointed Neil Butler as its new Finance Director as it looks to continue to strengthen whilst the firm expands.

Neil has previously held managerial roles at at Vodafone UK and KPMG, his most recent position was as finance director for  for luxury furniture brand OKA.

The company, which is expanding into the Cotswolds, will no doubt count on Neil's extensive financial experience to help guide the ship.

Neil said: “I am proud to be joining at a time where the business is expanding and making a number of significant strategic investments in services across the group.

“I am glad to be pursuing the next stage of my career in the public transport industry, which plays a vital role in keeping the communities we serve connected, as well tackling congestion, improving air quality and helping to reduce carbon emissions.”

Oxford Bus Group consists of Oxford Bus Company, Thames Travel, Carousel Buses, City Sightseeing Oxford and Pulhams Coaches.

Luke Marion, Managing Director of Oxford Bus Company, said: “This is a significant appointment for the group and we are very happy to have Neil on board. 

“He brings extensive experience in corporate finance and is well-placed to ensure the success of the business at a time of expansion and considerable strategic spending to deliver a continued first-class service to passengers.

“We are also expanding our services into the Cotswolds with Pulhams Coaches having recently joined the group, and further developing the successful transport-on-demand PickMeUp service operated by Carousel Buses in Buckinghamshire.
