Partner Simon Court has joined leading law firm Blake Lapthorn Tarlo Lyons as the firm’s new head of tax.
Court previously led the tax department at the London office of US firm WilmerHale (previously Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr) where he worked for more than six years.
He advises on the taxation of UK and international clients, including cross-border transactions, flotations, M&As, re-organisations, corporate finance, and venture capital. Court also works on real estate taxes, IP licensing and e-commerce, employment tax and tax on share options.
Court will be based at the firm’s Oxford office and he and his team will provide tax support throughout the firm.
