Newbury-based Vanson Bourne, which provides market research services and consultancy for the global technology sector, has further sharpened its service offerings for clients with two key internal promotions.

Ben Daubney is promoted to research consultant, working alongside the company’s project managers to provide client organisations with a complete portfolio of market research and analytical options. With a master’s degree in English Literature, Art and Media Infomatics from Glasgow University, Daubney has now been a market researcher with the company for five years.

Sarah Thorp has been promoted to research manager, with responsibility for ensuring the highest-quality market research deliverables as well as guiding Vanson Bourne’s research teams’ continued professional development. Thorp gained a first-class degree in Applied Biological Sciences from the University of West England, and has worked for Vanson Bourne for five years in the roles of research administrator and then project manager.

Vanson Bourne director Kevin Withnall commented: “Ben and Sarah have been outstanding in meeting clients’ needs in their respective client and quality-focused roles. Their promotions help us extend our portfolio of market research and data interpretation services for clients.”

He added: “The market research discipline is at a very exciting stage in its development with social media, big data and customer feedback systems all influencing client organisations’ thinking on market research and customer insight. These well-deserved promotions ensure we have the creativity and quality to identify and deliver on clients’ complex needs across these different areas.”
