The John Lewis Partnership is currently recruiting for over 10,000 roles nationwide. 8,400 of these are additional seasonal roles.

In Waitrose, the firm will recruit more than 2,800 seasonal roles across its 329 shops, including supermarket assistants, night shift, and customer delivery drivers. In the 34 John Lewis stores there are 2,900 temporary roles in sales and merchandising positions.

The company's supply chain will also be bolstered by nearly 3,000 roles through the various recruitment agencies John Lewis Partnership works with.

A spokesperson for John Lewis Partnership said: ''The roles reflect our strong omni-channel presence with vacancies in our Waitrose and John Lewis stores and distribution network. Training in customer experience for which our two brands are renowned will be provided through shops and our dedicated School of Service.''
