Phyllis Court, the private members' club in Henley-on-Thames, has strengthened its human resources team with the announcement of a new HR manager.

Laureen McHaffie has joined the club charged with developing the organisation’s people strategy and practices. She will also be integral in the club’s leadership strategy from a people perspective.

With a career in HR that spans across 15 years, McHaffie is well placed to deliver the aspirations of the club by implementing and embedding HR policies and practices to ensure the organisation’s culture is aligned with its ambitious plans for growth.

McHaffie said: “Joining the team at Phyllis Court and working with internal and external stakeholders on process improvement, employee engagement and culture change is a great opportunity.

“The plans for the club and its people are exciting. I hope my collaborative approach to working practices and passion for building strong relationships will help the club achieve that growth and continue to become a destination for members, as well as potential employees looking for a positive place to work.”

Phyllis Court chairman Barry Jackson commented: “We welcome Laureen at a time when Phyllis Court is committed and focused on its people management strategy and employee engagement.

“We’re confident Laureen will help us to achieve our goals and look forward to a very successful 2019.”
