STEM Returners to host free Returning to STEM webinar
STEM Returners has partnered with the Institute of Marine, Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST) to host a free webinar for those looking to return to a career in STEM.
Equity consultant Claire Goodall will share the stories of some of the professionals she and the team have supported over the years, as well as explore how organisations can establish a successful returners programme.
She’ll also go over findings from the STEM Returners Index 2023, which revealed that recruitment bias against race, age and gender still persists in the sector – particularly for returners.

But the Hampshire firm did note ‘evidence of progress’ in that fewer respondents reported experiencing such bias than in the previous year.
Natalie Desty, founder of STEM Returners, said: “There are skills gaps across the engineering, tech and green jobs sectors.
“These gaps are growing, and the UK needs a diverse, agile and innovative STEM workforce more than ever.
“This talented and committed group of professionals are ready to help fill those roles.”
The Returning to STEM webinar takes place on Thursday 8th February from 9:30 to 10:30am.
