Wiltshire-based GWP Packaging has strengthened its sales team with the appointment of Jason Edgeworth as Sales Manager.

The company, part of Macfarlane Packaging, designs and manufactures corrugated cardboard packaging for a range of businesses across the Southwest of the UK.

In his new role, Jason will manage a portfolio of existing key customers, as well developing new business opportunities for the company.

Jason said: “I’m thrilled to become part of the GWP team. Even in my short time with the company, I’ve been hugely impressed by GWP’s range of products, manufacturing capability and the emphasis throughout the business on fostering close customer relationships.

“Besides developing a strong pipeline of new opportunities, I’m equally excited to showcase the sustainability benefits that GWP’s custom packaging can offer.”

David Mason, Sales Director at GWP, added:

“Having Jason on board will boost our ambitious plans to grow our business. He brings with him fresh ideas, enthusiasm and professionalism that will help us build on the success we have seen over the past few years.”

GWP Group currently employs around 100 people across two sites in Wiltshire (Cricklade and Salisbury), designing and manufacturing a wide range of bespoke protective packaging products.

The wider Macfarlane Group, of which GWP became a part in 2021, comprises more than 1,000 employees, with sales of more than £280m in 2023 across the UK and Europe.
