Amiri Construction has appointed Simon Powell from Portsmouth as its new contracts manager.
Powell joins the £17 million turnover company with over 25 years of experience of building and construction, having started as the third generation member of W S Powell, the Portsmouth builders founded by his grandfather William Powell in 1947. He worked with William and his father Glyn as an estimator and surveyor before moving on to work for other major construction companies.
Amiri’s director Kevin Lendon said that the company is delighted to welcome Powell to the team of 27: “We have so many great contracts underway, including £10m worth of projects within the education sector across central southern England, so Simon’s experience will enhance our service to clients.”
Last year, Fareham-based Amiri successfully completed over £17m worth of contracts ranging from educational, health, industrial and commercial properties to a £7m luxury home on the Sandbanks peninsular.
