For many companies, having to make staff redundant, is an unavoidable fact of the current economic climate. There is a way however, to make sure you offer these staff the support they deserve.

Eastleigh College can offer FREE support and skills development activities to help prepare your staff for re-employment. This might be for work outside your company or for vacant positions within your organisation.

The Response to Redundancy programme can offer adults who have been made redundant within the last 6 months, or are under notice of redundancy, a range of education and training services to develop skills to help them to retain employment or find new employment. The aim is to equip individuals with the skills to fit emerging job opportunities.

Support available under ‘Response to Redundancy’ includes:

• One-to-one Training Needs Analysis
• One day employability workshops covering topics such as CV writing, career planning, interview techniques and presentation skills
• Sector specific courses
• Basic, Intermediate and Advanced MS Office courses
