The Southampton office of accountancy and business advisory firm BDO has announced that Audit Partner, Steve Le Bas will take over as its new Regional Managing Partner.
Steve takes over the role from Malcolm Thixton, who has led BDO in the Central South region for more than ten years. A spokesperson for the branch reported that the time spent under Malcolm's management was very successful for the firm.
Malcolm Thixton said: “I have worked with Steve throughout his career in the Central South and so I’m delighted to be passing on the leadership of the office to him.
''We have such a great local team and I’ve always been so impressed by the dedication and care with which they support the businesses we work with. I look forward to seeing what the coming years bring under Steve’s direction.”

Steve has worked with many of the region’s largest companies, having worked for BDO in Southampton for 30 years.
He said: “I am proud of the strength of our regional team and am fully committed to further enhancing it. I have a great foundation on which to build thanks to all of the work Malcolm, and our wider partner group, have done over the last 10-15 years.
“It’s a challenging but exciting time to take on leadership of the local office. I’m looking forward to ensuring we continue to help businesses navigate a fast changing and complex economic environment.
