Property consultancy expands Worcester office

A property consultancy has appointed a chartered surveyor with more than 20 years of experience in the industry.

Fisher German has welcomed Shelley Stephenson as a senior associate at its Worcester office.

She has previously worked for two prominent country house estate agencies, specialising in the sale of prime country and townhouses in Worcestershire, Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds, and also has extensive experience within the development land business.

She also supported setting up the Thames Valley satellite branch of Women in Property, which continues to operate.

Shelley, who comes from a farming family in Worcestershire, has extensive market knowledge of the area and will be working across Worcestershire and the neighbouring counties.

She said: “I’m extremely pleased to join Fisher German. The firm is well-known in the area and offers a very personal approach, while still benefitting from a strong network of offices.

“It also has a very employee-focused business, offering a number of benefits and policies to promote positive work-life balance.

“Coming from Worcestershire myself and spending several years working in and around the area means that I have a strong market knowledge, and I will be using my expertise to help build up the firm’s portfolio of instructions."

Alasdair Dunne, head of the rural and residential agency department at Fisher German, added: “We are extremely pleased to welcome Shelley, who brings a broad range of expertise to the firm.

“With spring now well and truly underway there is certainly some more activity in the marketplace, with new instructions now coming to the market across all price levels, it’s a fantastic time to further strengthen our agency team.

“Some of the larger, more seasonal instructions which might have been held back with the poor weather in the early part of the year are now being launched, and in most cases are attracting positive levels of interest with some good pent-up demand, particularly at the top end of the market.

“The demand for very good country houses and private estates remains robust from buyers who have been sat on their hands for too long. With an election coming later in the year, now is the time for buyers to act to secure a sale in 2024.”
