Leading provider of integrated security and safety systems i2 Security has moved headquarters from Kent to Witney Business & Innovation Centre, in West Oxfordshire, as it looks to grow the business and recruit first-class engineers and sales personnel.

Founded in 2006 by Adrian Beesley and Terry Giles, i2 Security specialises in the design, supply, installation, maintenance and support of technology based security and safety systems including; CCTV, Access Control, fire and integrated systems.

The company has a number of high-profile clients across the UK and Europe that benefit from its bespoke service. They include the West Wing and Children’s Hospital at Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital, and Waddesdon Manor in Aylesbury.

Adrian Beesley, co-founder and operations director, at i2 Security, said: “Oxfordshire is home to a wealth of businesses representing many sectors that could benefit from our support – from historic buildings through to high tech and public sector clients. Relocating our headquarters to Witney is a strategic decision to help grow the company. Witney BIC provides us with a professional front of house service, on a flexible arrangement that will allow us to expand within the centre as needed.”

i2 Security has a highly skilled workforce and prides itself on staff retention, but engineers are proving difficult to recruit. Beesley added: “I started off my career as an apprentice and I am open to offering more apprenticeships with i2 Security as the business continues to grow. The technology we are working with really is cutting edge and we feel our Oxfordshire location will help to attract talent with relevant experience.”

i2 Security currently has ten employees and will retain its Kent office. The firm hosts two annual engineering conferences that will now take place at Witney Business & Innovation Centre, where the firm has taken two adjoining offices that can accommodate six people (236 sq ft of office space).

Managed by Oxford Innovation, the leading operator of innovation centres across the UK, Witney BIC is owned by Blenheim Palace and provides a selection of serviced office space solutions for 1 to 30 people.

Alli Anderson, centre manager at Witney BIC, commented: “There are a lot of business opportunities for i2 Security in Oxfordshire and surrounding counties and we look forward to helping the team cultivate growth. Witney BIC has become a community of thriving businesses and i2 Security will undoubtedly benefit from the networking opportunities at the centre.”
