Windsor: Hermes IM lands GenesisCare
Hermes Investment Management has signed GenesisCare at 69 Alma Road, Windsor, a 19,936 sq ft office building just outside of the centre, an easy walk to both railway stations and with good access to the M4.GenesisCare will take the whole building along with 92 car-parking spaces on a 20-year lease.
GenesisCare provides patient-focused care across a network of purpose-built cancer centres. It launched its first radiotherapy treatment centre in 2009, as Cancer Partners UK.
Dr Vincent Khoo, chief medical officer of GenesisCare UK and clinical oncologist from The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, said: “I am very pleased that GenesisCare is creating its 11th centre in Windsor. I see many patients who have to travel into London to obtain the latest technologies and this will soon no longer be necessary. Local patients will be able to access GenesisCare’s high-quality radiotherapy techniques and diagnostics including MRI and CT, all from our new site at Alma Road. We are delighted with the light and spacious property and its location.”
Stephen Ellis, asset manager at Hermes, said: “Our investment at Alma road in the past few years has opened it up as an attractive proposition to the occupier market. We are confident that GenesisCare will find it an ideal location.”

Roddy Abram, partner at Knight Frank national offices team, said: “Planning had been achieved to speculatively refurbish and extend the existing office building. A straight 20-year lease from a strong covenant was too attractive to pass up.”
