Winchester: Goadsby lets five shops in a week
Five shops have been let in the space of one week in Winchester city centre by Goadsby Commercial. Acting on behalf of Winchester City Council, the agency has let three shops in Middle Brook Street which should all be open in time for Christmas.
Mollys Den is re-opening a small in-town version of its hugely-popular emporium at Winnall in the shop previously occupied by Shakeaway. Sweet Ice Cream Lounge is opening a second branch in the shop next to Sainsburys; and Bits & Pieces Outlet will operate homeware-sales from the former post office.
In addition, Apollo Nails is moving from The Brooks to larger premises in St Georges Street. This property will benefit from the ongoing improvement works currently being undertaken by the Council to the pavement and exterior of the building.
In Parchment Street, Goadsby acted on behalf of a private landlord in letting to Mayam Boutique, selling Turkish rugs and collectables.
Penny Smith of Goadsby Commercial in Winchester commented: ‘’These lettings show that there continues to be high demand for retail opportunities in Winchester and this popular shopping destination will benefit from the previously-vacant units being occupied.”
