"Caroline’s extensive skills and experience will perfectly augment our already excellent team," said Mark Steggles, head of dispute resolution at Thomson Snell & Passmore.

"Her expertise in non-contentious construction matters expands our offering to our clients in this area and I am thrilled that she is joining the firm."

She has particular knowledge in professional indemnity insurance and utilities (including renewables) and regularly acts for contractors, developers, suppliers and professional consultants.

She also represents a number of banks, providing development finance in construction projects, and more recently has been providing advice to clients on the legal and practical implications of the Building Safety Act.

Caroline Watkins, partner at Thomson Snell & Passmore, added: "This is a really exciting time to be joining such an excellent firm, and I am looking forward to helping the team with their ambitious growth plans."
