Property developer HBD has let 50% of its Blake House scheme in Uxbridge to Galliford Try in what is one of this years’ largest Thames Valley office lettings.

The construction giant has taken 15,000 sq ft within the Uxbridge building, which has undergone significant transformation since being acquired by HBD.

The three-storey, 31,638 sq ft grade A office scheme, located on Cowley Business Park was completely redeveloped and refurbished, with a stunning double-height grazed reception area, large extension at the rear, abundant car parking and flooded with natural light throughout.

Simon Quine, development surveyor at HBD, said: “To get this deal agreed and completed mid-pandemic is a positive sign for the market - despite the doom and gloom, it’s not all dire and a quality building will attract a quality tenant. We’ve no doubt Blake House will provide Galliford Try with a great, modern new HQ.”

Cameron Frazer of Cushman & Wakefield said: ‘’Galliford Try committing to Cowley Business Park soon after Monster Energy shows strong occupier demand for good value, high-quality space in the Thames Valley’

Chris Bulmer, partner at Michael Rogers, said: “We are delighted to welcome Galliford Try to Blake House. They had a number of options to choose between and their decision to move to this building is testament to the quality of refurbishment that has been undertaken”.

15, 000 sq ft is available to let within Blake House.

Cushman and Wakefield and Michael Rogers are the agents on the scheme.

HBD has a diverse UK-wide portfolio, which includes office space and logistics, through to residential innovation and award-winning heritage projects. In addition to its London base, HBD also has offices in Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham, Bristol and Glasgow.
