Reading-based law firm Blandy & Blandy LLP’s commercial property and planning & environmental teams have surpassed the £250 million mark in terms of completed development land deals during the past financial year.

This success is endorsed by the UK’s leading legal directories, Chambers UK Guide and The Legal 500, which both rank the firm highly in the ‘Real Estate’, ‘Planning’ and ‘Environment’ practice areas.

According to Chambers UK Guide, "Blandy & Blandy LLP maintains a strong reputation for successfully gaining planning permissions for complex schemes" and is "experienced in land development and the full spectrum of transactional commercial property concerns".

Blandy & Blandy acts for both landowners and developers, large and small, advising on areas including strategic planning and land opportunities, sales and purchases, options and conditional contracts, highways, interpretation of planning permissions, nature conservation and built heritage, planning obligations and enforcement issues.

In 2015 the firm advised the University of Reading on its disposal of a 100-acre development site within the South of M4 Strategic Development Location (SDL).

The firm’s commercial property and planning & environmental teams continue to strengthen and grow and now feature 13 lawyers, five of whom are partners, and two trainee solicitors.

Partners Karen Jones, Simon Dimmick, Katja Wigham, John Dingle and Jane Gunnell
