Former home of Southampton's Daily Echo set for demolition

Salmon Development Limited have applied to Southampton City Council for permission to redevelop Newspaper House on Test Lane.

The submission calls for the complete demolition of Newspaper House.

Should planning be secured, the demolishing of the existing structures will be followed by erection of three new storage and distribution buildings.

The application also contains provision for access, parking and landscape and infrastructure works.

Southampton Newspaper The Daily Echo was based at the site until 2020.
