The first occupier at a major new development on Abingdon Business Park has been signed up the day after completion.

KFP Total IT Solutions (KFP), which provides IT solutions for the retail industry, has taken 14,500 sq ft of tech space at Foxcombe having relocated from a 4,000 sq ft facility at Blacklands Way, also on the Park. KFP has taken a 10-year lease on Unit 4 Foxcombe.

More than 30 KFP staff will move into the new building following their fit out this month as the company looks to expand significantly in the coming years.

Foxcombe is owned by Rockspring Property Investment Managers LLP, a Patrizia company, with XLB appointed as asset and development management partner.

Kim Sardar, Director at Rockspring, said: “I am delighted that KFP is staying at Abingdon Business Park.  The Park is an ideal location for thriving technology firms and successful University spinouts with ambitions to expand. The site and facilities at Foxcombe are first class and we hope further lettings will follow.”

John Moss CEO of KFP added: “Our expansion over the past five years has been so significant that we needed to find large state of the art premises very quickly, working with XLB and Rockspring we were able to achieve this within 12 weeks.”

Tom Barton, director at commercial property agents VSL, added: “This is the first deal of more than 10,000 sq ft that has been completed in the Oxfordshire tech sector this year.

“The county is now a hotbed for hi-tech / R&D firms which are driving the local economy and there is no better location than Foxcombe on which to build a successful business.”

Foxcombe covers a total of 49,317 sq ft. There are three remaining units available ranging from 10-26,000 sq ft. It was formally launched to the market on 15th June 2018. The development has been constructed to a high specification with a BREEAM ‘very good’ sustainable rating.

The units provide flexible accommodation including high quality offices with glazed entrances, LED lighting, air conditioning and ample parking. The warehouse space will have sectional loading doors and an eight metre clearance height.

Abingdon Business Park is a 50-acre mixed-use scheme comprising 410,000 sq ft of office, R&D and industrial property set in the heart of Oxfordshire’s economic and knowledge corridor, located within half a mile of both the A34 and Abingdon town centre. The secure site benefits from 24-hour security and an on-site park management team and is home to over 35 businesses employing over 2,300 people.
