Wetherspoons The Bank House, Cheltenham
The building housing a J D Wetherspoons is up for sale in Cheltenham for a guide price of £2.8 million.
The property, on Clarence Street just off Cheltenham's famous Promenade, is let to J D Wetherspoon on a 35 year least which expires in 2036.
Known as ‘The Bank House’, the site got its name from being a former Cheltenham and Gloucester bank. The site comprises two Regency buildings, built in the 1830s. The three-storey section, with statues on its facade, housed the Bank which moved out in the 1850’s. It was combined with the adjoining building, a former children’s outfitter, after the Second World War. J D Wetherspoons acquired the premises in 2009, and it was to be their second pub in Cheltenham.
The property is being marketed by KBW Property Consultants
