Developers have almost completed construction of 30,000 sq ft of new high-specification industrial space at Woolston in the final phase of a development that will bring new jobs to Southampton.

The new unit, the first new industrial and employment space to be developed in this location since 2003, benefits from high-quality facilities, clear span portal frame, large loading apron and deep water access to the River Itchen.

Commercial property specialists at the South Coast offices of Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) have been appointed by the site as sole agents for the scheme by the landowner, Oceanic Estates.

The scheme is part of a wider regeneration project that includes Centenary Quay, a riverside development by Crest Nicholson that includes homes, offices, restaurants and public space.

Adrian Whitfield, director, industrial at LSH, said: “We are expecting to see high levels of interest, given the quality of the units and facilities available, and its prime location opposite Ocean Village Marina and within easy distance of Southampton City Centre. Commercial space is at a premium in the region. We are delighted to play our part in bringing employment opportunities to this historic site.”

Lambert Smith Hampton has offices in Fareham and Southampton and is the largest transactional team in the Solent region.
