Law firm Irwin Mitchell has appointed a new partner to its National Real Estate team. Robert Stangroom joined Irwin Mitchell’s Southampton office on May 8, where his role will be to assist partner David Fanchi with the nine strong Southampton-based real estate team, concentrating on general commercial real estate work.  Stangroom joins from Wannops LLP where he was a partner and previously worked at Shoosmiths. He also worked with David Fanchi at Thomas Eggar.

Paul Firth, national head of real estate at Irwin Mitchell, said: “Our national real-estate practice now has over 40 partners across the UK and 81 other real-estate lawyers and continues to grow. We have real-estate teams in our nine BLS offices and Robert’s appointment will, in particular, be a boost to the Southampton office and our coverage of the southern markets.”
