The south central office of CBRE has appointed David Mathieson as a director in its specialist markets valuation team.

He qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1995 and spent eight years as a commercial investment valuation surveyor with DTZ and Cushman Wakefield in Scotland before relocating to Hampshire in 2003 as a valuation services manager based in Winchester.

Over the past 13 years, he has gained extensive experience providing loan security valuations for all major banks in the UK. As a RICS-registered valuer, his focus is on business valuations of healthcare (young adults/elderly/dementia/nursing plus specialist units), licensed premises, hotels and golf clubs. He also has extensive knowledge of the independent education sector.

He will be responsible for valuation advisory work principally across the south with an emphasis on healthcare and private education.

Stephen Whitworth, valuation senior director at CBRE Southampton, said: “As a result of the strong sector activity and service lines offered, we are continuing to invest in our teams to ensure that we offer the most comprehensive service to our wide-ranging client base.”
